Our LegacyVoice of the Martyrs was founded by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand over 40 years ago. Arrested in 1948 for his bold evangelistic ministry in Romania and his public stand for Christ, Pastor Richard Wurmbrand spent 14 years in prison, where he endured torture and three years in solitary confinement. His wife Sabina was also imprisoned and sent to a labour camp. When he was released from prison, Pastor Wurmbrand shared his prison experience in books like Tortured For Christ. These books revealed his deep commitment to Christ, his burden for unbelievers, and his compassion for Christians who are persecuted for their faith. He and his wife responded to God’s call on their hearts by committing the rest of their lives to one vision: calling Christians to respond in obedience to Hebrews 13:3. Thirteen Three is an expression of this vision. |
