In 2009, 17-year-old Chen Le was expelled from school in China because he signed a document that stated he was a Christian.
Chen Le was barred from taking the college entrance exam, preventing him from pursuing further education. In response, Chen Le said, "I would rather be forced out of school than deny my faith." Voice of the Martyrs and Thirteen Three rallied Christians to pray for the decision to be reversed. A month later, Chen Le was allowed to return to school! This decision was influenced by pressure placed on Chinese authorities by the international community. Now, Chen Le is able to continue his studies. |
